I recently came across this amazing article while browsing online.  This blogger makes several great points on how to give yourself a fashion upgrade- beyond the basics. 

Most of the advice pertains to gentlemen that wear suits or dressier attire *(definitely NOT the jeans and T-shirt type) so if you are not a member, some of the information might go above your head.

The #1 issue that I suggest to clients time and time again:  TAILORING!  Spend the extra money on having your clothing fitted- no suit ever comes off the rack and fits perfectly-EVER!
