If you have a NEED for TWEED, I have you covered!

Do you have a need for TWEED???

Well, men's fashion is going full throttle for the stuff, and do I have some fabulous pieces for you!

I've always loved handsome heavy tweeds.  Whether a classic herringbone or a sporty Donegal , sporting a few pieces in your wardrobe is a must!

On my buying excursions I make it a point to look for interesting  jackets and suits that will stand the test of time.... take a moment to spy a few of the newest outerwear and everyday pieces just added to my Etsy store.

My personal favorite is the 3 piece Bespoke made herringbone suit with rust and green fleck.  Taper the legs on the pant, and this will look like a $3000 ensemble from Saville Row in London.

Let me know your thoughts, and if you are searching for any styles in particular, just email me...

Spring preview: modern take on saddle shoes by Johnston & Murphy

Sneak peek:  Spring 2013 @ Johnston & Murphy-men's shoe collection

Vintage men's shoes are very hard to come by.  I search endlessly for classics like wingtips, spectators, captoe, and saddles to include in my Richards Fabulous Finds shop.  That is why I am so excited to see the classics are all coming back, but with a modern take.

My favorites so far for the season:  Johnston & Murphy Clayton saddle!

I like the fresh twist they put on this style.  A little bit dressier with the leather sole (normally rubber in tan or brick) and contrast stitching with extra perforations make it less "Joe College" and more "Vintage Dandy".

Plus the color combinations are amazing!

The Return of the Pleated Trouser

Sorry for the delay in posting... life has been hectic to say the least!

Any who.... I was clicking through my favorite site, Pinterest, and checked out one of the peeps I follow... low and behold there they were:  Giorgio Armani 2012 men's fall collection PLEATED FRONT TROUSERS!

Now, before you go "they are so old man" please note that, upon closer view, that these seem to REALLY be old man, i.e. a vintage take.  The waist is high, much like the beloved Hollywood pant from the 30's and 40's.  I am going on a hunt to see them in person just to make sure, but regardless, I LIKE IT!

Flat front has been the the status quo for some time now, and it's nice to see the classics come back.  I personally have a short torso and long legs and many times the flat front pant just fits funny.  Low rise?? Let's not go there (does anyone else feel like their pants are falling off???)

Here is a link to view the entire Armani 2012 Collection.   Enjoy!
