Restyling Complete: "Save the Coat" Project

Well, the coat is back and it turned out amazing!

Tanya Tailors is very close to my residence and I think they did an outstanding  job.  I have been going to them for years for dry cleaning and general alterations, but this was my first attempt at a restyling and couldn't be happier with the outcome.

There was even enough fabric (thank goodness they kept the scraps) left over that I believe I can have a matching 8 panel Apple Jack hat made... going on a hunt to find a men's milliner... another project to watch for!

I have added a link to Tanya Tailor on the menu.  If you are in need, they are the place to go.

"Save the Coat" Project....

Sometimes you see something and you just have to keep it from ending up in the trash....

This handsome piece was on the damaged rack, clinging to life, so I had to save him!

The color and details are amazing, but as you can see by the photos the moths had their way..... BASTARDS!

Well, I took it to my tailor to see what could be done, and I think the results are going to be amazing.

Stay tuned for updates on the "Save the Coat" Project here and on my Facebook page ----->

Making a BIG move for 2014.... Richard's Fabulous Finds store in Chicago!

Hey everyone....

Just wanted to give you a little inside scoop on my hunt for a place to house my men's vintage goodies....

We might have found a spot here in Chicago, so I will let you know the progress as it happens.

But, to give inspiration to the vision I hope to achieve, I have attached photos of places & spaces that I have felt a bond....   I hope you like!   ANY feedback welcome!
