Just noticed a tweet that went out a few days ago...
The Peninsula Hotel Magazine did a little write up about my shop... so honored!
Richard’s Fabulous Finds
If today’s menswear all seems a little too tight, a little too cropped and a little too feminine for more masculine tastes, salvation is nigh at Chicago’s newly opened, gent-centric vintage den Richard’s Fabulous Finds. Situated in the rapidly developing WoW (West of Western) section of Humboldt Park’s North Avenue, the suave store is packed with an impressive array of high-end, pre-loved clothing and accessories, all sourced by suit savant and store owner Richard Biasi.
After several years selling at markets and online, Richard’s debonair collection grew so large that a permanent brick-and-mortar space was the only solution. Now his new treasure trove is teeming with European suits, snappy suspenders, bowties, boater hats, cravats and cufflinks, with some items dating from as early as the late C.19th, though most are 50s and 60s pieces that, despite their advanced years, are in exceptionally good condition. Hidden amongst the nostalgia wear, shoppers will also find a tight edit of antique interior items including leather bound trunks, inlaid card tables, retro photographs and Art Deco lamps. Thankfully, Richard opted to avoid antiquated skincare products, instead stocking a small selection of Real soaps, oils and candles, plus some modern, locally-made men’s jewelry. Retro dandy candy!
